About Us

The Organization

ET Group International Pty Ltd (ETG) is a multinational management consulting corporation

specialising in areas of finance and investment, science and technology, and capacity building. We

believe that the efficient allocation of resources and expertise through strategic collaboration is the

key to creating new opportunities and providing innovative solutions to the most pressing global

development issues. We are therefore committed to working closely with our partners, sharing

resources to create opportunities and invent unique solutions for our clients in the rapidly developing

Asia-Pacific region. With our offices in Canberra, Beijing, Nanjing, Hubei, and Shenzhen, we have

been committed for over 15 years to delivering world-class consulting services in the public and

private sectors.

Our Strength

Our success relies on ready access to key major decision makers in Australia and China, and ability to
tap-into local resources. ETG’s capabilities are bolstered by its access to a large body of experienced
and highly qualified specialists in the Asia Pacific region. A network of allied institutions and
professionals also work in active partnership with ETG in the delivery of its programs.

With its in-country experience, technical ability and management capacity, ETG is well-placed to develop and deliver a range of international consulting, training and investment projects. Our clients turn to ETG because they know that no firm will work harder for clients’ success, or stand by them
more steadfastly when their plans are challenged. They know, too, that they can count on us for
ideas, advice, and execution that help them meet their own goals and fulfill their missions.

ETG’s Professional Team

ETG is led by its Managing Director, Dr Y. Tan, who has extensive consulting and leadership experience in Australia, China, USA and many other countries. ETG has permanent offices in both Australia and China with over 100 employees, who are highly trained professionals from many
different countries. Many employees have PhDs and master degrees received from Australia, Germany, USA and China.

Another key member of ETG is its founding advisor, Dr. T. Y. Leong. Dr Leong speaks 6 different languages and had been the Director for CSIRO International for more than 20 years. Dr Leong was awarded Lifetime Achievement Medal by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) in Australia in 2010. Dr Leong is the only Asian Australian making such an achievement.

ETG’s Evaluation and Supervision System

ETG has established a very effective and reliable evaluation and supervision system for all projects
undertaken by ETG or its subsidiary companies. This evaluation and supervision system consists of
two independent teams: an internal team and an external panel made up of government officials and
clients. At every stage the two independent teams communicate thoroughly with experts and clients,
document detailed stage reports and feed-back, and provide improvement suggestions. When each
project is completed, ETG’s external panel provides the final evaluation of the project and makes
policy recommendations together with ETG.

An example is the 470 Professional Development Visa adopted by the Australian government as a
result of ETG’s capacity building program from China and subsequent policy recommendation from
ETG and the University of Canberra to the Australian government.
